About the school

From my very first steps at the age of 6, dancing has been my life force.
Throughout the years hundreds of children have passed through my doors, I now find it a great compliment that they, in turn, are now bringing their children back to me to enjoy the same experience.

Our aim is to provide excellent levels of dance tuition in a nurturing, caring and friendly environment.
We like to encourage confidence and pride in our students but at the same time, we encourage them to be respectful and humble.

We believe you can not be the best at everything you do, but you can be YOUR BEST!

About our school

Established for over 40 years, we pride ourselves on providing all students with a safe, welcoming, friendly and caring environment which is run on a passion for dance along with a disciplined structure.

We encourage our students to think of other children who are less fortunate  and by doing so we have raised thousands of pounds for charities releated to children including Smile Train, Forget me not, NSPCC and Laura Crane Trust.

Reputation

The school holds a strong reputation for encouraging students to reach their personal best, nurturing and supporting them whether they choose to dance as a hobby or take a more challenging route with a future of going into the industry.

We are known for our strong technique and providing students with diverse and well-rounded training in all genres.

Our reputation has brought students to us both locally and regionally.

Shows

Our shows provide ATD students an opportunity to perform in a professional theatre, gain confidence and to experience the thrill of performing to a live and appreciative audience.

It teaches students commitment, stagecraft, and gives them an opportunity to showcase their skills.

Competitions

Competitions are available to students who wish to take their hobby more seriously.

Competitions require a commitment from both students and parents. We offer and compete in competitions locally and regionally.

The purpose of competitions is to provide an opportunity to receive judgement from industry professionals, gain knowledge and benefit from participating with like-minded students.

Championships

Many ATD students have been very successful in championships in all genres over the years winning locally and regionally including British and English titles. Some of our winners include:

Many of our students have also been awarded places in the TDCI Champion of Champions.

All England Dance

Many students over the years have entered the prestigious All England Dance with great success.

I am honoured to have had students not only win sections in many genres at the finals but to also have had winners of the highly prestigious Gala.

I feel both privileged and honoured to have many students dance and compete in such a high standard well-organised association.

I’m delighted to announce Leah Darby, winner of many genres and Galas at the All England Dance Finals, has now been chosen to be an All England Dance Ambassador.
